A father who will rant to his friends about how his wife is using her twin pregnancy as an excuse to walk away from things. Of course, she has now found out.
It will come as no surprise that he’s a bit pissed off, so he’s taken to the internet to question whether he was actually wrong to tell his mates/completely cheated on his wife.
“She wants to be petted all the time”
“The fact is she has been hard to be around and demanding since she got pregnant and wants to be cuddled all the time,” the man wrote in his post.
“It doesn’t bother me too much because it’s what I signed up for, but I’m working full-time and I’ve got a lot on my plate.
“Besides taking care of her, I’m also helping to take care of my sick grandmother. It makes it difficult not only to do everything I used to do, but most of what she did before she got pregnant.”
The man says she’s “only” four months pregnant… but she’s also carrying twins.
“Some of it makes sense like things that involve a lot of heavy lifting or things with chemicals, but simple things like running to the post office, doing laundry or getting groceries, I think she should still be able to do as it is not”. so far
“I know having twins makes a difference, but from what I’ve read it seems like she’s doing less than normal, which makes me feel like she’s not helping as much as she could.”
He told his friends about all of the above and one of their partners told his wife. Naturally, the man defended himself and blamed the source of the leak.
He asked if he was wrong to tell his mates about his wife, or should he have absorbed it for the sake of his wife’s feelings?
“No Empathy”
Commenters on the post were more unhappy with the man’s attitude.
“If you really think she’s faking, then talk to her about it, or just tell her she’ll have to do it herself; don’t complain about it behind her back,’ said one.
“But unless you catch her doing the things she claims she can’t do, I think you should stop abusing the idea that you or your self-appointed advisors are more informed about what it’s like to live her life everyday in it. body now than she is.”
Another added: “She’s in her second trimester with twins which means a lot is changing in ways that aren’t obvious but can be painful. And now you’ve shown her that she A. can’t trust the person she’s having these babies with to not abuse her behind her back and B. that you think her feelings don’t matter.”
Embarrassingly (for the man, brilliantly for the reader) it later turns out that the woman is actually working, which was just a plot twist that no one saw coming.
“OMG and she’s still working!” wrote one shocked person. “Awww poor baby who has to do what his wife managed to do without complaining.”
